All you would need for SCSI backups is to have the "sa" driver in the Kernel. Read "man sa" to find out more about it. This is your standard SCSI tape driver. It runs on most SCSI tape drives. It's really simple to use. Be sure to have "sa", plugin your tape drive, boot the system. And it should recognize the drive right away.
