Actually, as of the latest release version (2.2.6), PnP support is now
integrated into FreeBSD.

If you are running 2.2.5 (the previous version), you can get patches to
add PnP support to that.  But I recommend that you go ahead and upgrade to
2.2.6 -- you'll be glad you did!
