| Well, I am wondering if single-user mode is related to the following:
|
| Mounting root from ufs:ad0s1a
| ad0s1: type 0xa5, start 0, end = 8452079, size 8452080
| ad0s1: C/H/S end 526/29/63 (996029) != end 8452079: invalid

I've wondered about this, but it never caused a problem before.

| The device numbers on your cards seem fine now. I think that was just
| a problem with not cleaning up the kernel config, or am I missing
| something? The whole pccard dmesg looks OK to me.

I've had my kernel pretty stable until I decided to try a network card.
Then I added ed0, ether, and bpf. That was all I believe I added.

| Your ethernet address looks suspicious to me; I think it should be
| 00:c0:f0:... Did you make your own pccard.conf entry?

Hmm. I'm over my head here. I don't know much about masks, addresses, etc.

| As a side note I think you could add usb to your kernel: uhci and usb.
| I think you could remove eisa and ppp (tun supports ppp application).

I still need ppp for my dialup, my primary connection.

Thanks for the help. I really hate crashing my machine just because I want
or need single user mode.
