This can be seen when one does a "make test" in /usr/ports/graphics/gd/work/gd-1.8.4 and then executes bash-2.05# ./gdtestttf gd was not compiled with HAVE_LIBTTF defined. Install the FreeType library, including the header files. Then edit the gd Makefile, type make clean, and type make again. This is the error message that you will see (but it is nonsense, as FreeType2, which this port builds against, definitely has TrueType support). I've tried to hack the FreeBSD port to include TrueType support, but wasn't successful. It proved far easier to just build gd 2.0.1 myself. gd 2.0.1 is currently marked "beta", but if it is stable, and to me it looks like it is, I'd suggest to upgrade the gd port to version 2.0.1. This will also gain a lot of interesting new features. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: Build gd 2.0.x yourself without relying to the FreeBSD port of gd 1.8.x. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
