I saw this problem two laptops. CPU: Pentium III/Pentium III Xeon/Celeron (597.41-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin = "GenuineIntel" Id = 0x686 Stepping = 6 Features=0x383f9ff CPU: Pentium II/Pentium II Xeon/Celeron (299.94-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin = "GenuineIntel" Id = 0x66a Stepping = 10 Features=0x183f9ff I don't set CPUTYPE in /etc/make.conf, so CPUTYPE = i386, MACHINE_ARCH = i386, _CPUCFLAGS = -mcpu=pentiumpro in bsd.cpu.mk.
