	1. add vfs.usermount=1 to /etc/sysctl.conf

	2. run sysctl vfs.usermount=1

	3. add the user to group wheel, adjust the permissions of
	   dev/acd0c (FreeBSD 5.x -> /dev/acd0) and /dev/cdrom
	   if necessary.

For 5.x, make the permissions permanent in /etc/devfs.conf:

	perm acd0 0555
