Well, there's no real _support_ for this kind of thing, but...

There is a single-floppy version of FreeBSD called PicoBSD which does 
exactly what you want--well, after some configuration. Search the web 
for PicoBSD and get a couple different versions and try them out. As I 
said in an earlier message to someone else, I had no luck with two different
versions I tried, but the third one I got at least partially worked.
 
With a little hacking, you should be able to put together a very nice
router using PicoBSD.

And, as a matter of opinion, for most things, a pentium is overkill as
a router, unless you're going to do NAT, multiple routes and other stuff 
as well. I'm not sure what your intent is here, but if you're just putting
together a single system or a couple of them, you may be able to save a
ton of money by getting a used 486 PC/104 card instead of buying a new
pentium one. 
 
Now that I mention it, I sure wish _I_ had a 486 PC/104 system...that'd
be cool! :)
