I really wish people would read the CERT advisories (or make it a practice to visit www.cert.org occasionally) since otherwise what's the point of even releasing them? If you're running a FreeBSD machine for which public access is allowed then you MUST keep up to date on these advisories! This is not an optional exercise and the penalty for failing to keep up to date is to be hacked by those who DO read the advisories and are probably laughing their heads off as they nail another system admin who has failed to deal with a well-known security hole.
