Yes (with apic disabled only though).

No, get
ad0: TIMEOUT - READ_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=7499
and then it hangs.

When booting in verbose mode I see this on resume:

Some lines of:
ata0: stat0=0x80 err=0x80 lsb=0x80 msb=0x80

And finally before the panic:
ata0: reset tp2 stat0=80 stat1=80 devices=0x0
