I have a suggestion that would accomplish the same goal but still allow
people to post from a different address than they subscribe to:

Filter posts that do not fit at least one of these criteria:
  - From: header contains an e-mail address subscribed to the list.
  - To: or Cc: header includes the list's address.

As most spam is bulkmailed without changing the To: header for each
recipient, this will filter out 99% of the spam, while still allowing
non-subscribed people to post, so long as it isn't a Bcc.  Acceptable
compromise?
