I could not get X to work, but I do have a working X server for it. I have seen several people mention the Xig server, which sells for 199.00. I think that pricing is obscene, and just wanted to mention that if anyone else is having trouble getting X to work with this video card, Metro-X sells for 39.00 and works perfectly. Now on to my problem. Apparently I am missing something trying to get APM to work. I compiled the following line into my kernel: device apm0 at isa? disable flags 0x31 # Advanced Power Management It compiled fine. I have been unable to find instructive documentation on apm, but figured issuing the MAKEDEV command for apm would be the next logical step. Any effort to execute apm results in: apm: can't open /dev/apm: Device not configured Running apmconf yields: apmconf: can't open '/dev/apm' I am running FreeBSD 3.3-RELEASE. Anyone who has any ideas, I would be most appreciative. Im at a loss as to where to go next.
