I have FreeBSD 3.1 installed on a laptop with a local connection (no tcp/ip). After installing, I execute afterstep by cd /usr/X11R6/bin ./afterstep Afterstep: Can't open Display I have tried using -d display options of :0.0 and unix:0.0 but they also give an error.
