I can't detect it well and the part of the text where the crash occurs is overwritten with the "go nowhere without my init" crash message. The last thing i see is something concerning the harddisk geometry and then the probing devices message box and then the crash. even if it is already the installationprogram i think the category kern is right because it is the kernal that crashes. Please forgive me that i can't give any further information but this is my first try with freebsd, i have WIN98SE on my HD and tried FreeBSD 6.3 on my free space and want to swap when i have more time. I tried my first steps (i have some experience with slackware 3.5 wich i used 4 years for internet and writing) and tried dosbox, wine, vice and uae because i am a retrogames lover and have many old dos, windows, c64 and amiga games wich should run. Otherwise everything i need and use alreay on win98 like Firefox, Thunderbird & lightning, etc run native on FreeBSD. Because i am a beginner with FreeBSD i am a bit stuck because the crash is in the Kernal and so i can't send you any form of log. If there is an option to create one please let me know and i create one. By the way i used the file 7.0-RC1-i386-bootonly.iso to boot the cd but i had the same trouble with the disc1 of beta 4. I also tried hard and soft reset on my PC. Regards, Andreas Wirooks >How-To-Repeat: Happen's everytime. >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
