Search the zfs-discuss mailing list (or forums) for a thread with subject:

"ZFS Going forward after Oracle - Let's get organized, let's get started."

That has all the info about the "top-secret working group", which is
*not* part of Oracle.

Basically, it's FreeBSD, Linux, Illumos, OpenIndiana, and other
non-Oracle developers working together to advance the open-source
version of ZFS.
