Hi! There is PR: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=usb/117185 waiting too way long, it provides patch that makes it possible to use USB modems built in modern Nokia smartphones. The patch is for RELENG_7 and http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=usb/91546 provides the same patch for RELENG_6. There are numerous success cases about various smartphones and the patch.
