Stumbled upon this one, too.
Compiled LaTeX from within NeoVim (using vimtex to open previewer), and zat=
hura
doesn't recognise changes to the pdf file due to recompiling. But when I sw=
ap
it out from under its arse by removing the file, then recompiling it, it wo=
rks.
So you can't just update the file in place, you have to rm it first, then
create a new one for zathura to see changes.
If this isn't unique to zathura, might it be an issue in the OS/filesystem?=
 In
that case: running 10.3-p6 with ZFS.
