OR the drive does not advertize its density. time to go into the scsi debug business ;) i will post dmesg output tonight (GMT-5). how do i get the density, scsi version, data from the drive using scsi(8). i have the scsi-ii spec available from the net and the QIC-121 _implementation_of_scsi-2)_for_QIC-compatible_sequential_storage_devices_ spec as well. please reference the spec in the answer. jmb -- Jonathan M.
