The top-level sendmail directory is created via etc/mtree/BSD.usr.dist. It =
does
not make sense to always create the directory and remove it in delete-old (=
of
course). Unfortunately optional components are not handled well by the mtree
infrastructure, so it may take a while to fix this "properly."
