At least that seems to be what trips up most people who try to build openoffice from ports. Fortunately precompiled recent packages are available from http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/ooomisc/FreeBSD/ - in several language versions, too (i grabbed the _nb version which looks to be quite functional so far). There's a bit more info available at http://porting.openoffice.org/freebsd/ too. -- Peter N. M.
