I am not around that box at the moment, but I can give you the exact 
commands that you can try on a batch of shots in a folder.

# dir2slideshow -t 3 -c 2 -n Test .

Then...

# dvd-slideshow -n Test -f Test.txt .

The period at the end is part of the command...
