So, it would appear that Midphase hosting are still incapable of working out why their ticketing system is sending replies with forged From: address to posters to the freebsd-questions mailing list. (Their support queue is at mpcustomer.com). I'm assuming the list admins already have examples to work with, but here is a set of headers from the reply I got to my last list post, in case it's any help.
