Yes, sorry for the limited information. I am still building my skill-set. boot -s fails at the same point. Safe mode gets me to a frozen login prompt. I see the DRAK 5 Virtual Media drives listed during the boot, but I am not sure how to get a trace of the boot sequence to supply here, given the fact that I never mount a file system.
