Thanks to all who replied to my question regarding the slow start-up of
StarOffice on my FreeBSD 3.0 system.

To quickly summarize, some had no problems, some had the same slow
start-up
times as I.

Greg Lehey suggested it was looking for a nonexistant sound card...
I will surely check out the config to see if it is, indeed, looking for
a sound card or something. If I find out anything, I'll post it.

You've gotten farther than I did!!  I still can't get past the
"can't load library xxxxxxx.so" messages.
