With all respect do you really expect that we go to a upstream commit
history of almost 5 years to figure out what have been fix that?

If so be my guest and do it on your own. Also if your are intressted in
such things then you should take more bugs and work on them. But I guess
that is your usual "I have to much free time and lets nag some new
committers thing".
