Run with this.  With 32x CDROM drives as cheap as they are, and the ability
to burn CD's pretty accessible, this would be a *very* economic way to
provide standard distributions in an institutional setting.  There's some
other things in /etc I'd want to be able to change without having to create
a new CD (for example, /etc/nologin), but that's a matter of configuration
and could be obtained via LDAP if you're creative.  So CDBSD + DHCP + LDAP
would be really interesting.

This might also be a good way to provide non-technical users with a
no-brainer installation, though I fear they'll eventually want to do things
like add a disk drive which would require editing /etc/fstab, etc.  It
might be worth thinking if a slight change in the BSD file hierarchy to
support this better would be merited...
