I have exactly the same problem on my 6-STABLE system. I'm not surely exact=

when kwrite/kate got broken, but I do remember that both were working fine=

just before I upgraded to Gnome 2.14. The only KDE related port that I=20
remember upgrading recently was Koffice, but I installed that after the=20
problem mentioned had already occurred.=20
