Yes, that would seem logical but... but where is it enabled then?
What's the magic to turn off AIO_SUPPORT?

[juha@vim3 /usr/ports/net/samba3]$ sudo make without-aio-support="YES"
===>  samba-3.0.23c,1 broken kernel API until now (7-CURRENT).
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/net/samba3.
[juha@vim3 /usr/ports/net/samba3]$ sudo make without-aio-support=YES
