Hi Frank,=0A Thanks for the reply, I see what to compare the checksums t=
o on the site, but I have a Windows machine. Any hints on how to check? =0A=
Sorry to ask these mundane questions, but I'm a linux novice.=0A=0AThank yo=

eleases/7.1R/announce.html=0A=0AThe checksums are listed there.=0A=0AFor yo=
u to checksum your iso, you do this on a unix/linux machine:=0A=0A$ md5 7.1=
-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso=0A=0Aand compare the checksum printed to that publ=
ished on that page.=0A=0AIf the checksum is different, then you got some co=
rruption and need to=0Adownload the image again.=0A=0AMy guess is that the =
software you used didn't burn the iso correctly.=0A=0ALoad up 6.4 and burn =
your CD from there, something like the following=0Ashould do it:=0A=0A# bur=
ncd -f /dev/acd0 data 7.1-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso fixate=0A=0A=0ARegards,=
