This book is pretty good. You can tell that these guys have been around
the traps, and have a pretty good idea what it's all about. Some parts are
a little Vax-centric and smug, but in context, that's quite forgivable 8)

This book is _very_ frustrating. Aside from the inconsistencies in
formatting and syntax, it wanders all over the place, varying from intense
and detailed to frustratingly vague. I've never been able to get a good
flow up reading it 8(. Having said that, it _does_ contain an awful lot
of very interesting information, and I've learnt a lot from it.
(Being Tandem employees, some of the low-level discussion is around the
MIPS R3000 architecture, which isn't as much fun as the Vax 8)
