I forgot to note that for option (c), there is an 'at present' workaround in
the absence of a new PYTHON option being created.

That is, to pass "NO_PYTHON=3D1" to the devel/talloc port build, which will
remove the python 2.7 runtime requirement, leaving only a build requirement=
 on
python 2.7 (can be deleted after build)
