Mine has the Broadcom adapter:

0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g
WLAN (rev 01)

Had to switch to Linux a few years ago to get it working.  Had always
used FreeBSD on other machines before this though.
