Hey all,

I've been working on porting the 'karma' visualization libraries
(http://www.atnf.csiro.au/karma/) for a while, and every time I take a
shot at these, I get disgruntled with the bizarre build system and give up
after short notice.

This package is useful for astronomy folks -- it's good for looking at
image data cubes, movies, that sort of thing. (NOT things like mpeg_play
and xv...that's a different thing.) I've been wanting to get it ported so
that I could add hooks to the PerlDL port to use it.

Just an FYI in case I can capture the interest of some patient port-maker
out there.

Happy trails,

Brian
