I have read the section in the handbook several times but still can't get it to work. This is the supfile that I am using with cvsup: # *default host=cvsup9.FreeBSD.org *default base=/usr *default prefix=/usr *default release=cvs tag=RELENG_5 *default delete use-rel-suffix *default compress # src-all # # eof But when I go to /usr/src and do the make buildkernel KERNELCONF=LOWFAT as root of course it tells me that make doesn't know how to make buildkernel. and when I ls the directory all that's there is sys. Shouldn't there be some sort of Makefile in there? I figure that's why make doesn't know what to do. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I do have a kernel that I built with the source I downloaded after installing 5.1 using the LOWFAT configuration file, and it works fine. However to do this I had to use the first procedure listed in the handbook, because of course when I cd to /usr/src and make buildkernel it doesn't know what to do.
