All I want to do is add a pcm device I have a Soundblaster Live and I must add a pcm device in my new kernel = config file. Every time I make the thing hangs up. I never had this problem b4 and I = think its has something to do with my CPU choice in my config file so = here is the million dollar question. If I have a Celeron 400 which CPU type should I choose i586 or i686 ???? HELP !!! I still have problems compiling my=20 kernel.
All I want to do is add a pcm = device
 
I have a Soundblaster Live and I must = add a pcm=20 device in my new kernel config file.
 
Every time I make the thing hangs up. I = never had=20 this problem b4 and I think its has something to do with my CPU choice = in my=20 config file so here is the million dollar question.
