Here in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) we normally enjoy a very white Christmas.
Last year at this time there was easily 3 feet of snow on the ground. Not so
this year. No snow yet and none forecast. This has never happened before in
my 35 year recollection. Though it does happen here about 2% of the time
according to a local meteorologist. We are just loving the warm weather (near
freezing, plus or minus) but we need the snow to kick us into Christmas mode.

All hail El Nino.
