A followup to this year-old thread... LibreOffice (again) does not like
BSD lpr/lpd again, dumping core when printing is attempted.

That is without setting up a printer, because
/usr/local/lib/libreoffice/program/spadmin says

No printers can be installed, because the file system is read-only.
   Please contact your system administrator.

As is traditional with error messages, it does not mention any
information which might help the user solve the situation, like which
directory is read-only.

It may just be that a directory is missing. Certainly truss says that
spadmin is looking for lots and lots of directories, but I don't know
how to identify which one is the problem, or whether that really is the
problem.

Any ideas?
