Interestingly, many Christians have "extra-biblical" beliefs that
they DO NOT KNOW are extra-biblical, even though they clearly 
sprung from the fertile imaginations of much later authors. For 
example, many treat elements from the fanciful accounts of Dante and 
Milton as "gospel" -- to the extent that, when asked, they will claim 
that fanciful assertions from these almost modern writers' works are 
part of the Bible and hence the "word of God."
