I hope everybody hasn't forgotten this thread, I'm curious about this  
myself...

It seems like the device node would show up on the remote host like a  
local device node. That is, the server's major-2,minor-2 device node  
would, on the client, access the CLIENT's major-2,minor-2

But I hope I'm wrong, because that could be useful
