Hi Salvo--

I'll take a shot at helping with this...please keep in mind that I speak
American English, not proper English. :-)

I'm not sure what your question was here? One acceptable synonym might
be "service".

In this context, "issue" == "important problem". I have noticed a lot
of people using the word "issue" in this way, the last few years. I
find it personally annoying, as it almost never had this meaning when I
was growing up.

The differences between CTM and the other methods of updating are that
CTM doesn't transfer entire source files, and it doesn't make any
attempt to compare what's on the server with what's on your machine.
I guess the implication of the sentence in question is that in order to
do the comparison, CTM would need to pull them to the client. It
doesn't do this. If I were to rewrite this, I'd say "CTM does not
interactively compare the sources you have with those on the master
archive. Nor does it pull them from the server on demand."

No, I don't think that it's necessary that the user be aware that they
blew away their sources, just that it happened and they were not
intending to do this.

(Usually I notice this right after it happens, but I digress.)

Missing or corrupted.

These are not dumb questions!

Bruce.
