OK, well I bought the NetCOMM Roadster ->
umodem0: Sirius Technologies  Roadster II 56 USB                      , rev
1.00/1.00, addr 2, iclass 2/2
umodem0: data interface 1, has CM over data, has break

And it seems to work fine :) :)

The real irony is that I haven't got it to work under Windows yet :)
