Brian, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I have "set openmode active" in the .conf already. I think I may have the problem narrowed to an IRQ "conflict"... Apparently FreeBSD doesn't like two ports sharing the same IRQ even if they'll never be used simultaneously?
