I don't have any experiences concerning PnP soundcards, but 
using PnP ethernet cards where it is recommended, to turn off
PnP mode on the ethernet card ...

Would it perhaps be possible for you to turn off PnP mode
on the soundcard and to configure io adresses via the kernel
config file ... and as wll on the card with something like
a config utility ?!
