However, professional audio, even hobby audio, is a nice and the OP probably just wants to know, if FreeBSD is for servers only, or also a reasonable OS for desktop usage, in the sense of e.g. office work. IOW we shouldn't capture this thread for a discussion about pro-audio. I only wanted to point out that _no_ OS is superb in all domains.
