Are there plans to resolve this bug in FreeBSD version 9.1 ? It's hard to say what happened on your system, but it works on others. The DRI libraries are installed by the graphics/dri port. Deinstalling, rebuilding, and reinstalling that port should create them. If it does not, something else is wrong on that system.
