What do people think about adding a HOMEPAGE variable to ports makefiles? This
would allow for easier checking for updated versions, as well as related
information about packages you use. Currently there's no standardized way to
find this - often you can tell from the URL of the distfile, or a comment in
DESCR, but this isn't always the case.
