I've been a user and followed this freebsd-jobs list for quite some time, and I'm in a position where my current job is coming to an end at the end of this month. I've been working at VA Linux Systems for the past year, and worked on Webvan before that (on Solaris 2.6). I've not had too much luck in the past of finding FreeBSD work, but would definitely like to work on a stable system like FreeBSD. I might entertain a startup situation with stock options...but I don't mean to mislead anyone, I am primarily an independent consultant working in Silicon Valley. I have a lot of skills working with OpenSource tools, Databases (mSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL/ACEDB as well as Oracle, DB2, Informix, Sybase, etc...on the proprietary side), configuring and maintaining servers as well as clients, c/c++ coding, java, PHP, apache, etc... If you need a senior developer to help out your company through a pinch, I have a good track record with references to match and a past history of being able to deliver. Please contact me if you need such a person, by going direct I can save a substantial amount of $$$s that an agent would normally put in their pocket. I don't normally stay available for a very long time when my contracts end, so if you have the need for a person like me, don't hesitate to reply so we can understand each others needs. Any serious offers considered. You can see my resume at: http://www.SoftOrchestra.com/resume.html Past clients include Oracle Corporation, IBM Corporation, Inteligent Systems for Retail (owners of Webvan), Puma Technologies, Taligent, OMNIS, etc.... -- Alan DuBoff Software Orchestration, Inc.
