Dear all,

When I run java (linux-sun-jdk1.4.1) as root it works but as my usr it crashes.

root@dune# java -version
java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode)va -version

as my user:

jrv@dune> java -version
#
# HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, Internal Error
# Please report this error at
# http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.1_01-b01 mixed mode)
#
# Error ID: 4F533F4C494E55580E43505002D7
#
Abort

It happens also with the blackdown and ibm versions.

I am installing the patch 1 released by Greg Lewis for
the sun's sources jdk1.4
and I hope it fixes this.

Why does this happen ? Any info is very appreciated.

Kind regards,
Juan Velasco
