Technologies used - application level protocols, layer 4 thru 7 - TCP/IP internals, HTTP, SSL. They have multiple openings in their security proxy group. Job Description: Sr. Software Engineer -Solid experience in C -TCP/IP Stack implementation and development not just use SSL and Security highly preferred -Http - Unix kernel level development at network level (ideal if you have FreeBSD) - More application level networking and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL), nothing below layer 3 TCP level everything between layer 4 thru 7 Requires intimate knowledge of these protocols. -Strong knowledge of HTTP is critical and this person should be very strong in TCP and SSL. -They are changing the stack at OS kernel level which results in performance enhancements. They are not concerned with particular expertise in the kernel Needs to be someone who understands how to deal with complex networking issues which are timing dependent . - NOT using sockets, doing networking at protocol level - state machine level, knowing the kind of states that TCP and SSL connections go thru. Event handling, not socket calls. Requires intimate knowledge of these protocols. This will be development inside the Unix kernel, with some development in the user land (authentication, LDAP, RADIUS, single sign -on techniques would be plus).
