hello i tried freebsd 6.1-rc on a compaq proliant ml 570 with 4 cpu. but freebsd doesnt want to do smp there. tried 7-current to, no difference. kernel(s) do have option SMP in the config file. thats not the problem. mptable shows 4 cpus, but also an 'mptable out of order'. and i dont see 'APIC' in the feature list of the cpu. anyone has any hints how to get smp going on this machine ? following is the verbose boot and mptable output. etienne Copyright (c) 1992-2006 The FreeBSD Project.
