I have a ALPS glidepoint mouse. I dislike that tapping the mouse
produces a mouse click.

I had the hardest time getting tapping->mouse click to stop working
under Gnome. After much experimentation I discovered a solution:

Start moused with the additional flag "-m 11=4".

I suspect that the number 11 isn't particularly significant, but I think
it has to be a fairly large number.

I hope this helps other people as well.

Stephen
